Fragrance Workshop HostRatelier is a sensory studio exploring the intersection of scent, coffee, art, and design.
Our fragrance workshops invite guests to discover the world of perfume through guided scent exploration and hands-on creation. Each session is designed as an intimate, thoughtful experience where guests are introduced to fragrance materials, storytelling, and the emotional language of scent. We are looking for someone who can help guide these experiences with curiosity, warmth, and a refined sensory awareness.
This role is ideal for someone deeply interested in perfume, aesthetics, and storytelling, and who enjoys hosting people in an elevated and creative environment.
Part Time, In-Studio Position
Responsibilities
• Host and assist fragrance workshops for guests and private groups
• Guide customers through scent discovery and perfume creation experiences
• Share knowledge about fragrance notes, materials, and scent composition
• Help guests identify scent preferences and recommend directions during workshops
• Provide thoughtful, attentive customer service throughout the experience
• Assist with preparation and setup of workshop materials and tools
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of fragrance materials and workspace
• Support occasional brand events, collaborations, and corporate workshops
• Availability during evenings and weekends is required as most of our workshops take place outside standard daytime hours.

Passion for Fragrance
• Genuine interest in designer, luxury, and niche perfumes
• Strong curiosity about scent materials and fragrance composition
• Sensitive to subtle scent differences and aroma profiles
Storytelling & Hosting
• Comfortable speaking in front of groups and guiding experiences
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Ability to translate scent into engaging stories and descriptions
• Natural ability to read guests’ personalities and preferences
Taste & Cultural Awareness
• Interest in fashion, design, beauty, and lifestyle culture
• Awareness of contemporary fragrance and beauty trends
• Appreciation for aesthetics and thoughtful presentation
Professional Qualities
• Background in customer service in elevated environments (beauty, fashion, hospitality, boutique retail, etc.)
• Calm and composed presence when guiding groups
• Comfortable working with fragile materials and delicate tools
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Familiarity with Adobe or Microsoft programs is an asset
